Possible Renewed Rivalry
By: Mike Fowles

Recap: Game #3 (Southern Utah)
Utah State gobbled up 604 yards of offense on 66 plays to pull away from the SUU Thunderbirds 53-34.  Robert Turbin showed the locals that he is a player to be reckoned with this season.  Michael Smith has emerged as the #2 running back that deserves plenty of touches.  Catching balls out of the backfield will become a staple in the Aggie offense the rest of the year.  SUU battled back from a 21-3 deficit to make a respectable halftime score of 31-24.  Stanley Morrison has emerged as USU’s go-to receiver.  The Thunderbirds gave a lot of effort and gained respect.

What to look for: Game #4 (Brigham Young)
Before the season the game at BYU looked to be the toughest game on the docket.  Now that looks to be mighty Boise State.  Defending BYU’s Dennis Pitta looks to be a real factor in the outcome of this game.  Also a healthy Harvey Unga will provide a Cougar punch.  BYU will deploy a lot of weapons against the Aggies and put up a bundle of points.  Utah State ranks 14th in the nation in rushing and should provide some scoring for themselves.  Look for two running backs to be in the backfield for the Aggies and multiple formations to catch the Cougars off guard.  Brigham Young will be throwing to the Tight End often and if it gains a lead you can count on a heavy dose of Harvey Unga to drain the clock.  Utah State better execute when given the chance if they want to keep this game close.

Prediction:
The Cougs will be too much for the fighting Aggies of Utah State.  They have been here before and should be ready for this Friday tilt.  Rising Aggie Sophomore Robert Turbin will provide another amazing display of talent and score at least two touchdowns but the road hasn’t been friendly to Utah State over the years.
