Head Coach - Jim Caldwell, 10th year (3rd as HC)
Caldwell came to IND in 2002 and served as their QB coach for 7 yrs earning the associate HC tag in 2008. He was named the HC in 2009 after Tony Dungy retired. He is 1 of 30 HC’s to have 24 or more regular season wins with a SB berth in any 2 year span.
Offensive Coordinator - Clyde Christensen, 10th year (3rd as OC)
Christensen was the Colts WR’s coach (2002-08) before being promoted to OC. In that span IND tallied Fifty 100 yd receiving efforts on offense, the best in the NFL. IND has finished 9th and 4th on offense extending IND’s run of 13 yrs w/5,000+ yds offense.
QB Coach - Ron Turner, 2nd year (1st as QB coach)
Turner has 34 yrs of coaching under his belt. He was the HC at Illinois from 1997-2004. He was CHI’s OC from 2005-09, but finished 23rd or lower in offense 4 times. Turner was the Colts WR coach in 2010 with eight 100 yd rec efforts logged by the team.
RB Coach - David Walker, 1st year
Walker is the 1st new RB cch here S/’92. From ‘05-’10 he was the RB cch at Pitt. He was also the RB’s coach from ‘95-’04 at Syr.
WR Coach - Frank Reich, 4th year (1st as WR coach)
Reich was a 14 year NFL QB playing for BUF, CAR, NYJ and DET. He was a coaching intern in 2006-‘07 for IND becoming an offensive asst in ‘08. Reich was promoted to QB coach for the ‘09-‘10 seasons helping IND tally 16 300 yd passing gms in that span. He was shifted to WR coach after the ‘10 season.
OL Coach - Pete Metzelaars, 8th year
After being the asst OL coach in 2008-09 for IND, Metzelaars was promoted to OL coach in 2010. He was an offensive QC coach for IND from 2004-07. Metzelaars was a TE for 16 years with SEA, BUF, CAR and DET playing in 235 career games.
Defensive Coordinator - Larry Coyer, 3rd year
After being the DL coach for TB from 2007-08, Coyer joined IND as their DC in 2009. He has 46 years coaching experience at the collegiate/pro levels with 12 years as an NFL DC.
DL Coach - John Teerlinck, 10th year
Teerlinck’s units have allowed an avg 126.9 ypg (4.5) rushing with 33.9 sacks per year in his tenure here. He has also coached for DEN, DET, MIN, the LA Rams and CLE.
LB Coach - Mike Murphy, 14th year
Murphy enters his 27th year of coaching in the NFL. He was the Seahawks LB coach from 1995-97, then joined IND in 1998. IND has allowed an avg of 21.4 ppg since he arrived.
DB Coach - Alan Williams, 10th year
Williams has spent 9 of his 10 years in the NFL with the Colts as their DB coach. IND has ranked in the top 10 in pass defense 5 times in his tenure with an NFL best 6-15 TD/Int ratio in 2008.
Special Teams Coordinator - Ray Rychleski, 3rd year
Prior to IND, Rychleski was the STC/TE’s coach at S Carolina in 2008. IND has finished 31st in our rankings for ‘09 and ‘10. They did log their 1st blocked punt for a TD S/’89 in 2010 though.
