Head Coach - Hue Jackson, 2nd year
Jackson is the 7th OAK HC in the past decade. He served as the Raiders OC in 2010 helping them achieve their 1st non-losing season since 2002. OAK improved from 31st to 10th in offense as well. He has also been an OC with WAS (2003) and ATL (2007) before being BAL’s QB coach (2008-’09).
Offensive Coordinator, Al Saunders, 1st year
Saunders is a member of the Dick Vermeil/Mike Martz coaching tree which originated from Don Coryell. He has been in the NFL as a WR/OC/HC since 1985. Saunders was an offensive consultant for BAL for 2009-’10 after being STL OC in 2008. He worked with Jason Campbell in WAS in 2006-’07 as an asst HC.
RB Coach - Kelly Skipper, 5th year
Skipper joined the Raiders in 2007 working as their TE’s coach for his 1st year with the team. In 2009 he was shifted to RB’s coach as OAK finished 21st in rush offense (106 ypg 4.2). In 2010 OAK improved to 2nd in rush offense (156 ypg 5.0) with eight 100 yd rushing efforts logged.
WR Coach - Sanjay Lal, 5th year
Lal was the Raiders offensive QC coach in 2007-’08. He was promoted to WR’s coach in 2009 as Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy became the 1st rookie WR tandem to start in the NFL since 2000. OAK has logged eight 100 yd receiving efforts in his 2 years with the team. He was the QB coach at Cal from 2004-’06.
OL Coach - Bob Wylie, 1st year
Wylie served an OL coach in the CFL (Winnipeg and Saskatchewan) from 2007-’09 with 2 teams playing in the Grey Cup. He was an OL asst with the Broncos in 2010 who finished 23rd in sacks allowed. He also has 13 years of experience as an OL coach in the college football ranks.
Defensive Coordinator - Chuck Bresnahan, 1st year (7th overall)
Bresnahan was the Raiders’ DB coach from 1998-’99 before being promoted to DC from 2000-’03. His units finished 17th, 18th, 11th and 30th in that time. Bresnahan was CIN’s LB coach in 2004 and their DC in 2005-’07 when they finished 28th, 30th and 25th in defense. He coached the 2009-’10 seasons in the UFL with the Florida Tuskers.
DL Coach - Mike Waufle, 2nd year (7th overall)
Waufle has a successful track record in the NFL as he was the OAK DL coach from 1998-’03. OAK earned an avg of 40 sacks and allowed 112 ypg rush (4.1) in that span. He was the Giants’ DL coach from 2004-’09 where they avg’d 40 sacks with 110 ypg rushing (4.0) allowed.
LB Coach - Greg Biekert, 2nd year
Biekert was a Raider LB from 1993-’01 before spending 2 years with the Vikings before retiring. In 2010 he was hired on as an asst coach on defense. He was promoted to LB coach by Hue Jackson on 2/8/11.
Cornerbacks Coach - Rod Woodson, 1st year

Woodson was a 17 year CB with 11 Pro Bowls who retired with the Raiders after 2 seasons (2002-’03). He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009. He has no coaching experience at the CFB or NFL levels.
Safeties Coach - Kevin Ross, 2nd year
Ross was a 14 year DB playing for KC, ATL and SD from 1984-’97. In 2003-’05 he was the Vikings’ secondary coach as they finished 22nd, 30th and 18th in pass defense. Ross was the SD asst DB coach for 2007-’08 as they finished 14th and 31st in pass defense. After working in the UFL for 2009, he became OAK’s DB coach in 2010 with the #2 pass defense.
Special Teams Coordinator - John Fassel, 3rd year
From 2005-’07 Fassel was BAL’s asst special teams coach. He was an asst special teams coach for OAK in 2008-’09 with our #12 and #2 units respectively. In 2009 he took over the job full time with the unit falling to 27th. However, in 2010 it improved to 3rd overall in our rankings.
