Head Coach - Raheem Morris, 3rd year
Morris was a defensive QC coach/defensive ass’t for TB in 2002-’03. He was promoted to ass’t DB coach for 2004-’05 before leaving to be the DC at Kansas St in 2006. Morris returned to TB as the Bucs DB coach for the 2007-’08 seasons finishing 1st and 4th in pass defense. He was named the TB’s 8th HC in 2009.
Offensive Coordinator - Greg Olson, 3rd year (4th overall)
Olson is a career QB coach in the NFL working with SF (2001), CHI (2003) and DET (2004-05). He was the Rams OC for 2006-07 finishing 6th and 24th in total yardage. He joined TB as its QB coach in 2008 and was promoted to OC just before the start of the 2009 season.
QB Coach - Alex Van Pelt, 2nd year
Drafted in the 8th RD of the 1993 draft, Van Pelt was with BUF from 1994-2003 as a career backup. He was the Bills QB coach in 2008 and made the OC in 2009 just 5 days before the season started. He was named the QB coach for TB in 2010 although the Bucs had zero 300 yd passing games LY.
RB Coach - Steve Logan, 3rd year
Logan was the OC at Boston College for 2007-‘08. He spent 2004-‘06 as a QB/WR’s coach in NFL Europe after being E Carolina’s HC from 1992-‘02. TB has finished 23rd and 8th in rushing with five 100 yd rushing efforts (19th) in Logan’s time with the team.
WR Coach - Eric Yarber, 2nd year
Yarber was an offensive QC coach for SEA in 1998 before spending the 1999-2002 seasons with Oregon St as a RB (1999) and WR coach (2000-‘02). He then went to SF as their WR coach for the 2003-‘04 seasons. Yarber returned to CFB as the WR coach for Washington (2005-‘06) and Arizona St (2007-‘09) before coming to TB in 2010.
OL Coach - Pat Morris, 1st year
Morris comes to TB after being the OL coach for MIN from 2006-‘10. The Vikings allowed an average of 38.8 sacks per year or 1 for every 12.8 pass attempts under Morris. Morris has worked previously with OC Greg Olson at DET and SF. OL’s under Morris have produced a top 10 rush offense in 9 of the 14 years that he’s been in the NFL.
Defensive Coordinator - None
HC Raheem Morris will call all of the defensive plays for 2011 again just as he did in the 2010 season and in the final 11 gms of 2009. The Bucs have allowed 145 ypg rushing (4.8) finishing 32nd and 28th in rush defense for 2009-‘10. TB has also only earned 28 and 26 sacks the L2Y as well.
DL Coach - Keith Millard, 1st year
Millard was a 1st RD DC in 1984 by MIN who had a 9 year career winning the NFL Defensive POY in 1989 with 18 sacks. He worked for DEN from 2001-‘04 as a DL ass’t specializing in pass rush. He was the Raiders DL coach from 2005-08 with rankings of #18, #19, #29 and #13 in sacks by. Millard was out of football for the 2009-‘10 seasons.
LB Coach - Joe Baker, 2nd year
Baker takes over the LB’s after being the Bucs’ DB coach in 2009 when they finished 10th vs the pass. He was an offensive assistant in DEN for 2008 and their LB coach in 2007. He has 11 years of exp split between STL, GB, NO and JAX.
DB Coach - Jimmy Lake, 4th year
Lake was an assistant DB coach for TB in 2006-‘07. He was the DET secondary coach in 2008, but was out of football in 2009 before being brought back to TB for 2010.
Special Teams Coordinator - Dwayne Stukes, 1st year
Stukes was a coaches ass’t from 2006-‘07 with TB before shifting to special teams QC coach for 2008. He was the ass’t defensive backs coach for the Bucs for the 2009-‘10 seasons. He has not been a full time position coach at any level.
